Uncomfortable Conversations: Episode 10 (The Black Male Mental Health Struggle)

In celebration of our 10th episode, our hosts decided to return to their roots and speak with a Black therapist from the city of Aurora on the current state of the mental health industry.

Zari Oliver is a licensed mental health therapist who has worked in the human services and mental health field for almost 10 years. She currently works as an outpatient clinician with adults 18+ with various diagnoses, most commonly anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and those with a history of trauma.

“I also just started a private practice called Oliver Therapy, and it can be found through sites such as Psychology Today. I have a passion for working with the black community and have worked on up-and-coming projects as a consultant for mental health spaces that target the black community specifically.”
