Our podcast series “What’s happening where?” is dedicated to discussing events happening worldwide with activists, scholars, and journalists. Prioritizing unreported issues, the podcast series aims to provide audiences with a scope of why these situations occur and, more importantly, why they are of great significance.
This episode is devoted to Kashmir; we spoke with Danielle Khan, the Special Assistant to Dean Jim Steinberg at Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. Married to a native Kashmiri from Indian-occupied Kashmir, she is heavily engaged in activism for Kashmiris right to self-determination. She has participated in numerous Kashmir-related webinars advocating for ending the ongoing human rights abuses/gender-based violence in IIOJK.
