Reds, yellows, and blues

Imani Dudley

My name is Imani Dudley, and I’m an eighteen-year-old, self-taught, traditional artist.

I view myself as an expressionist, making my art a form of self-expression. Each piece I create is very personal, and much like other artists, I tend to leave a small piece of myself in each project. Whether you feel my energy or not, trust me, it’s in there. I usually paint on canvas using oil and acrylic paints, but when I’m not painting, I use markers and fine liners.

I love using reds, yellows, and blues because I feel like they hold the most emotional energy, and people connect them more to their feelings, making my art more impressionable. My goal in life is to make an actual living off of my art; that’s the dream. As of right now, the plan is to attend art school, continue to work hard, create more art and trust in God.

You can find Imani on Instagram and Twitter.
