My name is Kayla Underkoffler and I’m a 22 year old autistic artist from CT.
My work features themes about identity, the relationship with the body, the female gaze/ femininity, chronic pain, chronic illness and sexual assault in the wake of the #MeToo movement. I have taken inspiration for my work from fairytales and folktales, impressionist art, Dutch academic painting, and artists like Egon Schiele.
