My name is Seth McCausland, I’m 24, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I am a self-taught photographer who focuses most of my work on editorial or conceptual portraiture, but I firmly believe that I should always be pushing myself out of my comfort zone as I grow with my art, so who knows where I’ll be in a few years?
My photography is often tied to emotion and music, and a lot of inspiration for concepts comes from music that I listen to. I grew up surrounded by music, and it is ingrained into my soul. Music speaks to me in images in my head, and those images often are the starting point for what ends up in my Lightroom catalog.
Something that is a fairly consistent theme throughout my photography is a feeling of flow or weightlessness, using different materials and objects to convey that light feeling. I’ve selected a few of my favorite pieces over the past four years that I’ve been taking photos, and I hope they speak to you and resonate with you.
