Jaspur
Jaspur is a self-taught multi-media artist from Las Vegas, NV. She’s also lived in Oregon, Virginia, and now living in Washington state.
She specializes in surrealism detailed in bright neon colors through mediums of mostly digital, acrylic, colored pencils, watercolors, gouache, and ballpoint. She is always looking to branch out and experiment when she can. Her work depicts high emotions and moments in her life and history, strong women she looks up to, and creatures not of our world.
Her themes range from bubbly iridescence to dark and mysterious. Jaspur has been making art since she could pick up a pencil. Her bi-racial parents were also artists and helped influence her passion for creation. Jaspur hopes her self-reflective work can touch others’ hearts in showing they are not alone with their pains, trials, and tribulations.
Some of her favorite artists and influences include Björk, Hikari Shimoda, Roberto Ferri, Moxie Saturday, and Brian Froud. She recently opened an Etsy shop where she is now selling her originals, frames, prints, and much more to come this year.
