Tasnim Mutwakil
Directed and created by Tasnim Mutwakil. This video looks back at the massacre that took place at the military headquarters in Khartoum, Sudan, on June 3rd, 2019. This video is intended to serve as a reminder of how far the revolution has come and to consequentially commit us to the road ahead.
The video includes scenes acted out in the Ovalhouse Theatre in South London, paralleled by real footage taken in Sudan showcasing the atrocities committed by pro-government militias. To assist viewers’ understanding of the weight of the events that occurred on June 3rd, a brief history of the revolution is told as well as some information on what took place following the massacre. Both informative and emotional, this project was put together by a team of dedicated volunteers and funded by kind donations. It’s not much, but it is our contribution to the revolution and the memory of our martyrs.
